About us
Teachers' Christian Fellowship of New South Wales (TCFNSW Inc) exists to promote a Christian perspective in education and support Christian teachers. It is interested in all areas of education from a Christian perspective of which religious education is but one part.
The Fellowship is open to all teachers and educators and is governed by an executive elected by those members who sign a statement of the Christian faith.
TCFNSW has a long history that begins in the 1930s. For much of that time it has operated to provide support to Christian teachers and educators. More recently it has embraced a wider mission to engage all teachers and educators in consideration of educational issues from a Christian perspective.
Members receive a monthly newsletter and have reduced fees to conferences and other activities that are open to all teachers and educators.

Local Groups
Local groups are an initiative of individual members of TCFNSW and operate currently in Wollongong and Grafton. The Executive would be interested to hear from any members who would like to start a local group in their area, especially in country NSW.
Members of the Executive are available to assist in the formation of local groups and the Fellowship would consider a request for a small seeding grant to help a group get started.
The Executive would like to also run some one-day conferences in country NSW and such an activity could be linked to the launch of a new local group.

What is TCFNSW Inc?
Teachers’ Christian Fellowship of New South Wales is an Incorporated, not for profit organisation. This professional teachers’ association is focused on promoting Christian perspectives on:
- teaching
- educational change
- issues in education by:
- engaging the whole education community in educational dialogue and
- supporting Christians working in education.
Professional Development Activities

Who can be members of TCFNSW Inc?
The Fellowship is open to:
- teachers from government schools
- teachers from non-government schools
- teachers in training
- other educators and people working in education.
How do I apply for membership?
Complete the membership application form and pay the current fee. Please note that full membership requires a statement of belief to be signed.
Associate membership is available to those who do not wish to sign the statement of belief. Associate members have full access to the discounted price for activities and receive publications. Associate members cannot hold office or vote at general meetings.
Current fees:
- $35 for Members and Associate members
- $10 for teachers in training and new career teachers.
